STUDENT ATHLETES (SHORT FEATURE)
This short feature highlights interviews with student athletes who struggled emotionally — one with depression and substance abuse, the other with a sexual assault — and found the strength to speak up and get help.
COMMON AREA – STUDENT VETERANS (PSA)
This PSA was designed with the guidance of student veterans from across the country. In this spot, a student experiences a PTSD flashback while interacting with other students. By showing civilian and veteran students supporting each other, the spot hopes to bridge the divide between these two groups.
LECTURE HALL – STUDENT VETERANS (PSA)
This spot features a real student vet answering questions in front of a college classroom. Using humor and honesty, the spot addresses some of the communication issues that can arise between student vets and their peers.
MARY J. BLIGE INTERVIEW (SHORT FEATURE):
R&B superstar Mary J. Blige talks candidly about her struggles with self-esteem, substance abuse and suicidal thoughts. Like all Half of Us interviews, the focus is on how people have overcome challenges by seeking help.
