A new MTV News special follows Demi Lovato as she hits the road for the first time since leaving treatment and she speaks openly about her struggles with an eating disorder, cutting and bipolar disorder. She is not alone in the struggles she’s faced and many fans say that Demi getting help and sharing her story have inspired them to speak up as well. “I felt like I was living a lie. I was dealing with all this pain emotionally and I felt guilt and shame. I decided to take it out on myself.”
“You can lose all the weight in the world, but it’s never going to be enough. For me, it was an obsession of the mind.”
